According to ABI Research, the world market for mobile marketing and advertising is expected to total about $3 billion this year. Because this is a brand new method of marketing, there is little known knowledge of what strategies work the best. However, there are some do’s and dont's when it comes this type of medium:
- Give consumers a way to unsubscribe from the program
- Keep your text messages short and precise
- Make sure you are reaching the right demographic for each different discount you are advertising
- Try making it fun by asking trivia questions or sending codes that customers can use for certain offers
- Don’t send too many text messages or emails- you don’t want to annoy your customers
- Don’t make it too complicated- keep it simple!
