CAR WASH ASSOCIATIONS FORM WATERSAVERS™ ALLIANCE
Through the WaterSavers Alliance, members of other car wash associations are eligible to participate in the WaterSavers program. The participating associations are the Canadian Carwash Association, Car Wash Operators of New Jersey, Connecticut Car Wash Association, Heartland Carwash Association, Mid-Atlantic Carwash Association, New England Carwash Association, New York State Car Wash Association, Southeastern Car Wash Association, Southwest Car Wash Association, and Western Carwash Association. Hundreds of locations across the United States and Canada are already enrolled in WaterSavers.
The Alliance represents an unprecedented level of cooperation among car wash associations, and a shared recognition of the importance of advancing the industry's commitment to water conservation and quality. “We are very excited to begin working with these outstanding partners and their members in growing the WaterSavers program,” said International Carwash Association CEO Eric Wulf at the start of the Alliance in January 2011. “Promoting our industry’s responsible use of water — both in terms of usage and quality — is a shared priority for each of our organizations and one we are now aligned in supporting.” A new WaterSavers Board of Advisors has been established to support the Alliance’s work.
Car washes implementing water managment best practices are eligible to participate in the WaterSavers program for $129 per company annually. Participants are included in the program’s online directory of locations and are afforded exclusive access to WaterSavers marketing materials. WaterSavers combines the value of a credible, recognized brand with local promotional efforts to educate consumers and water authorities.
